The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has announced the evacuation and arrival of 170 Nigerians from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to NIDCOM, the evacuees arrived at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos today, Friday August 14, 2020, via Fly Dubai Airline which was paid for by the UAE government.
The commission stated that the UAE government offered three free flights to Nigerians in Dubai whose documentation expired since March 1st and have been given till August 17 to leave the country.
It confirmed that all the evacuees tested negative to Coronavirus and have proceeded on 14 days self-isolation as mandated by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Ministry of Health and Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
