A 200 level student of the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, University of Ibadan, Adeyemo Oluwaseun Ayomide, who was involved in a car accident on Sunday, October 17, 2021, has died.
Ayomide, a resident of Queen Idia Hall of the Premier University, was said to have been involved in the car accident around Mobil filling station, opposite the institution.
In a special release by the Student Union dated October 17, 2021 and signed by the President Olusegun Akeju and the Public Relations Officer (PRO), Oladeji Olawunmi Abiodun, the victim’s was rushed to the University clinic, but did not survive.
The statement read in part:
“It is regrettable to have lost yet another student today 17th October, 2021. We lost Adeyemo Oluwaseun Ayomide, a 200 level student of the department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science and a resident of Queen IDIA Hall to the cold hands of death. She was involved in a car accident. The accident was said to have happened around Mobil filling station, opposite University of Ibadan.
“She was rushed to the Jaja clinic, as efforts to save her life proved abortive. Her remains have since been transferred to Anatomy, University of Ibadan.
“We pray God consoles the family and friends she left behind”.
