The people of Oyo State have started trooping out in their numbers to their polling units to cast their votes for their preferred candidates in the 2023 governorship and state assembly elections.
As of 8am this morning, several polling stations were already manned by INEC staff and voting has commenced.
Security operatives were also on hand to forestall breakdown in law and order.
Reports gathered to show that electorate started voting at Ward 11, Unit 001, Abayomi area, Iwo Road, Ibadan North East. This is the polling unit where Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State is expected to cast his vote.
Also, voting started at polling Unit 012, Agbamu Road, Sanyo, Oluyole Local Government, Ibadan, around 8:40 am.
INEC Officials have arrived in Ibadan North With Voting Materials at the time of filing this report.
Also, voting has commenced at Ibadan North LGA PU 024, Tunakin Photo Ward 012 of the Oyo South Senatorial District.
