Twenty one people, including school children, have been confirmed dead in an auto crash at Awgu, Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State on Wednesday October 28, 2020.
A lowbed truck belonging to a construction firm working at Oji-River – Awgu Federal Road was said to have lost control and rammed into a school bus conveying over 60 pupils and teachers of the Presentation Nursery and Primary School, Awgu owned by the Catholic Diocese of Awgu home.
Confirming the tragic incidence, Enugu Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Ogbonna Kalu, blamed the accident on speeding beyond the limit and dangerous driving.
