The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has announced the evacuation and arrival of 246 Nigerians from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to NIDCOM, the evacuees arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos today, Wednesday July, 8 2020, at 3:30 pm local time via Emirates Airline.
The Commission confirmed that all evacuees tested negative to Coronavirus and had proceeded on 14 days self-isolation as mandated by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Ministry of Health and Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
In addition, NIDCOM expressed appreciation to the Nigerian Mission in Dubai and the UAE government for paying for the flight Tickets and the cost of COVID-19 test for 131 evacuees.
