Three Nigerian-American women are currently contesting to be judges in the United States of America (USA), while another woman and three Nigerian-American men are contesting for other political offices.
Contesting to be judges are Olanike Adebayo – Miami-Dade County (Florida) 11th Circuit Court, April Ademiluyi – Prince George’s County (Maryland) 7th Circuit Court, and Ngozi Akubuike – Ramsey Court (Minnesota).
While Esther Agbaje is participating in the primary election on August 11, 2020 for Minnesota State Representative District 59B, Jude Ezeh will contest primary election on July 7, 2020 for New Milford (New Jersey) City Council and Oye Owolewa will vie for U.S House of Representative in a General Election scheduled for November 3, 2020.
