The number of reported coronavirus infection continues to rise in Nigeria with 550 new cases reported on December 8, 2020. This brings the total of confirmed cases to 70,195.
The cases were recorded in Lagos-219, FCT-168, Kaduna-52, Kwara-19, Kano-15, Rivers-15, Sokoto-10, Enugu-9, Gombe-8, Plateau-7, Osun-7, Anambra-5, Oyo-5, Jigawa-4, Ogun-4, Bauchi-2 and Edo-1.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), out of the 70,195 confirmed cases in the country,
65,110 patients have been discharged, while 1,182 deaths have been recorded.
