The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has announced the evacuation and arrival of 590 Nigerians from the United Kingdom.
The evacuation flight was in two batches. The first batch of 261 Nigerians arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja yesterday July, 14 2020, at 7:00 pm local time, via Air Peace Flight operated by Wamos Air Partner UK.
The second batch of 329 passengers arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos yesterday July, 14 2020, at 8:00 pm local time, via Air Peace Flight.
The Commission confirmed that all the evacuees tested negative to Coronavirus before boarding and have proceeded on 14 days self-isolation as mandated by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Ministry of Health and Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
