The Osun State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has released a week-long outline of events for the inauguration and swearing-in ceremony of the State Governor-Elect, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke as the sixth Osun State Governor and his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi.
According to a statement signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Inauguration Committee, Rev’D Bunmi Jenyo and Hasim Abioye, the activities will commence on Monday, November 21, 2022, with a press conference.
There will be Muslim/Christian inter-denominational prayers on Tuesday, November 22, and a friendly football match between Ila-Orangun United FC. vs Ede FC. on Wednesday, November 23, respectively.
On Thursday, November 24, the symposium/public lecture titled, “Light Upon Osun” will be delivered by Emeritus Archbishop Lawrence Sanda Ayo Ladigbolu and the event will be chaired by the former Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki.
While private prayer for the governor-elect and his deputy holds on Friday, November 25, the governor and his deputy will be sworn in by the state Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo on Sunday, November 27, 2022.
