Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, a governorship candidate has cast his vote at Ita Osanyin, Ward 3, Iperu-Remo in Ikenne Local Government this morning in the ongoing 2023 Governorship and State Assembly Elections.
Speaking after casting his vote, the governor said, “I have successfully performed my civic right by voting in my polling unit at Ita Osanyin, Ward 3, Iperu-Remo in Ikenne Local Government this morning.”
“The process was seamless, and I commend our people for coming out to cast their vote, the INEC, security agencies and other stakeholders that are working together to ensure we have a hitch-free voting exercise”, he added.
Hon. Ladi Adebutu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the closest rival of the incumbent also voted at 10.59 am at Ward 5, polling unit 4, Wesley Primary School Iperu.
Adebutu described the turnout of voters as impressive and expressed the hope that their expressed wishes would count at the end of the day.
