The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has been sworn in for a second term in office.
Abiodun was sworn in today, May 29, 2023, by the Chief Justice of Ogun State, Mosunmola Dipeolu, at 11:10 am.
The Deputy Governor, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, had earlier been sworn in at the event held at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta.
The swearing-in ceremony coincides with Gov Abiodun’s 63rd birthday.
Abiodun, the Iperu-born businessman, defeated Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with over 13,000 votes to emerge the winner of the March 18 governorship election in Ogun
However, Adebutu, has filed a suit challenging the victory of Abiodun and the All Progressives Congress at the election tribunal.
