Adamawa State Police Command has dismissed one Cpl. Richard Japheth for allegedly shooting to death a 20-year-old commercial motorcyclist, Arabo Dauda and ordered him to be charged to court for murder.
Japheth had killed Dauda for refusing to give him N100 toll pass in Maiha town, the headquarters of Maiha Local Government Council.
According to the Command.s spokesperson, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, Japheth was dismissed from the services of the Nigerian Police Forces following a report and evidences against him that he shot and killed Dauda in Maiha Local Government Area of the state.
It was confirmed to NAN that the erring police man has been detained at a police station.
