Professor Adeyinka Abideen Aderinto, the former Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of the University of Ibadan (UI) yesterday formerly announced his intention to contest for the position of the 13th Vice Chancellor of the Premier University.
Aderinto is the current Head of Department, Sociology in the Faculty of the Social Sciences.
Aderinto, through the Faculty of the Social Sciences platform broke the news to his colleagues that he has submitted application for the position of the exalted position.
He said, “Dear Colleagues, I wish to inform you that I have just submitted my application for the position of the VC of our University. I seek your support in prayers. God bless you”.
So far, as at the time of filing this report, over 10 aspirants have signified their intention to contest for the position.
