Afolabi, the son of Afenifere Chieftain, late Pa Ayo Fasanmi has revealed that his father will likely be buried on Tuesday August 4, 2020 at his home country, Iye Ekiti, Ekiti State.
He revealed this today in an exclusive interview with Punch Newspaper saying that his father had earlier told the children and family members that he should be buried as early as possible after his death.
Afolabi said, “Tuesday, next week is the most probable date for the burial at St. John Anglican Church. Baba is going to share the same tomb with his wife. Mama died in 2014. The tomb is going to be double decker. Mama is lying underneath. The arrangement between baba and mama is that whoever goes first will be under and who goes last will be on the top. Baba will certainly lie on the top of his wife. I am sure they will reunite together”.
Afolabi is a geo-scientist and former Special Adviser to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu during his governorship tenure in Lagos between 2003 and 2007.
