A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State Benedict Akika, who was kidnapped six days ago by some gunmen in his house situated Olorunda-Aba Area of Ibadan, capital of Oyo State has been released from.
Akika, a close ally of Governor Seyi Makinde is the founder of the Omituntun Benedict Foundation.
The details surrounding his release are not known, and it is not clear whether a ransom was paid.
However, he is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.
