Hundreds of protesters blocked some roads around Mokola Area in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in protest of the alleged killing of a fifteen year old boy by an operative of the Amotekun Corps.
Although the details of the killing are still sketchy, it was gathered that the teenager, who is a printer apprentice, was sent to buy food when he was killed around 3am on Wednesday morning as they worked overnight.
The victim was said to be preparing to sit for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination on Friday.
The protesters initially blocked the UCH-Mokola Road and later moved to the Oyo State Secretariat in Agodi, blocking the road.
The Oyo state police command is yet to issue an official statement in connection with the incident.
