The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has announced the arrival of 238 Nigerians evacuated from Turkey by the Federal Government.
In a tweet announcing their arrival, NIDCOM stated that they landed today, July 5, 2020 at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport around 2:45 pm local time aboard Turkish Airlines Plane.
All evacuees are said to have tested negative to COVID-19 and will proceed on 14 days self-isolation as mandated by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Ministry of Health and Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
In another development, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, also announced that Air Peace Flight conveying 86 Nigerians is also airborne from Ankara, Turkey to Lagos and Abuja, and the estimated time of arrival is 9.00pm today.
