There is a report that the All Progressive Congress (APC), has reduced its presidential aspirants to two.
According to a report from the Director-General of the Yemi Osinbajo Campaign Organisation, Senator Kabiru Gaya, the list of Presidential aspirants in the APC has been trimmed to just two – Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and former Governor Bola Tinubu of Lagos State.
It was stated that Gaya claimed that Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, his Ebonyi State counterpart, Dave Umahi; and the immediate past Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi have stepped down.
However, another report claimed to have emanated from the General Manager of TVC, Kolade Otitoju claiming that the contest is now between Tinubu and Amaechi.
According to a report circulating, Otitoju and Dele Olagunju were quoted to have said, “Aspirants have been reduced to two: Rotimi Amaechi and Tinubu. Tinubu is the next president by his grace.
According to Punch, Gaya, who represents Kano-South senatorial district, told Channels Television that the list has now been trimmed to two, noting that Amaechi, Fayemi and Umahi have stepped down for Osinbajo.
