Artisans and merchants in Oyo State paid a courtesy visit to the newly installed Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Abimbola Owoade, during which they presented assorted foodstuffs to the monarch.
The delegation was led by the Iya Oloja General of Oyo State, Alhaja Kadija Adepeju Bakare; the Babaloja General, Alhaji Nureni Omoeleniyan Olopoenia; and the Iyalaje General.
Receiving the visitors on behalf of the monarch, Olori Abiwumi Owoade expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and support they have received since relocating from Canada to Oyo town.
“We are truly grateful for the love you have shown us,” she said. “We appreciate everyone—those present and those unable to attend. May God reward and replenish you all.”
