The national body of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), has suspended its eight month old strike.
It was gathered that the Union suspended the strike action at the end of the National Executive Council meeting which was held at the ASUU secretariat in Abuja.
According to Punch, one of the NEC’s members confirmed the development saying, “Yes, it has been called off.”
The national president of the Union will release an official circular this morning.
