The eldest daughter of Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Reverend Tola Oyediran, has died around noon today, October 16, 2020 at the age of 79.
She was was married to Professor A. B. O. O. Oyediran, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, and until her passage, was the Chairman, Board of Directors of African Newspapers of Nigeria Plc., publishers of Tribune titles.
A family source said she did not show any signs of illness and was hale and hearty yesterday.
Dr Olatokunbo Awolowo-Dosunmu is now the only surviving child of the Awolowo dynasty.
