Against the advocacy of consensus by President Mahammadu Buhari, some aspirants thought that would step down for the major contenders, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu have thrown themselves in the ring to contest for the presidential ticket of All Progressive Congress (APC).
The aspirants who did not step down from the contest are Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Latter Rain Assembly, former Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, Governor Yahaya Bello, Tein Jack-Rich and Senate President, Dr Ahmed Lawal.
As at the time of filing this report, voting was about to start.
