Oyo state Post Primary Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has urged members of the public, especially applicants, to be wary of antics of some swindlers on social media.
This is coming on the heels of a fictitious list of qualified candidates on social media platforms, for teachers’ recruitment in the state.
The purported list contained names of ‘successful candidates’ in the just concluded recruitment exercise.
In a statement signed by TESCOM’s Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Olabisi Oderinde, on Thursday, the Commission affirmed that the list is fake.
The statement reads, “This is to inform the general public that the attention of the Oyo state Post Primary Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has been drawn to a list circulating in the social media concerning on-going recruitment exercise. The said list is false, fictitious and a ruse as no list has been neither made nor published by TESCOM”.
Mrs Oderinde urged applicants to wait for authentic information from the Chairman of the commission after COVID-19 lockdown.
“Members of the Public and particularly applicants are advised to discountenance the lists and await authentic information from the Executive Chairman of the commission after COVID-19 lockdown. The member of the public will be rightly informed at the right time”, the statement added.
