The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) of the Benue State University, Makurdi, Professor Godwin Achinge, has reportedly died of Covid-19 complications.
Achinge, who is also the Vice-Chairman of the Benue State Action Committee on Covid-19, reportedly died on Sunday afternoon at a hospital facility in Jos, the Plateau State capital where he was taken to after he tested positive for the virus early last week.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Msugh Moses Kembe, also announced that he tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday, calling on staff of the university and close associates to get themselves tested, and be pragmatic.
At the time of filing this report, there is no official statement yet from Benue State University on the death of the DVC.
