The leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has directed its members not to attend media parley organised by the embattled former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode.
The Union is protesting the incessant attacks and assault on newsmen by the arrogant ex-minister.
The latest is the attack Fani-Kayode hauled at the reporter of the Daily Trust, Eyo Charles at a press conference in Calabar, Cross River State.
In a statement issued by the Union and signed by the state Chairman and secretary, Comrade Amos Etuk and Comrade Dominic Akpan, the Union directed, “In line with the disposition of the national leadership of our great Union, the State Council has directed that no journalist should attend a media parley with Femi Fani-Kayode or any of his activity at any location in Akwa Ibom State. The NUJ is not part of the visit.
