Some Nigerians living in the United States of America (USA), yesterday staged a peaceful demonstration in support of President Muhammadu Buhari Administration, stressing that they support all actions to make Nigeria stay together as an entity.
The protesters converged near the United Nations Secretariat ahead of the UN general assembly (UNGA) commencing today.
The group was armed with different posters with different inscriptions, saying that all the allegations of genocidal attacks in the Southern part of the country, anti-people policies, Buhari’s agenda to fulanise and Islamise Nigeria are mere propaganda to crumble the government. This group made this argument despite the daily attack on Southerners and Christians across the country, which has resulted into the death of thousands of Nigerians under Buhari’s administration.
Among the inscriptions on the posters exhibited by the protesters reads: “Worshippers and worship places are protected in Nigeria”, “Nigerians want national unity not secession”, “Genocide in Eastern Nigeria plain propaganda” and “Nigerian Christians not targets of genocide or ethnic cleansing”.
The protest is coming almost one week after huge agitators of different ethnic groups including Yoruba and Igbo, who protested for the actualisation of Yoruba and Biafra nations at the UN Headquarters.
Contrary to the claim of Pro-Buhari’s loyalists, thousands of Nigerians have been killed by terrorists, Fulani herders, who are preferred to be called bandits by the government, have continued to kill non-Fulani ethnic people, maim, rape, destroying means of livelihood and continue to subjugate other ethnic groups in all manners of dastard acts. These terrorists are mainly from the North, particularly Fulani herdsmen, members of Boko Haram, Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP).
