Former Director Distance Learning Centre, University of Ibadan (UI), Professor Oyesoji Aremu has been appointed as the Chairman, Educational Management Board of the Nigerian Baptist Convention.
Aremu is the current Director Distance Learning Centre of Osun State University.
Aremu revealed this in his facebook account saying, “Today, 16th day of July, 2020, I received a letter from the President, Nigerian Baptist Convention and Christian Association of Nigeria, his Eminence, Rev. Samson Olasupo A. Ayokunle, Ph.D appointing me as the Chairman, Educational Management Board of the Nigerian Baptist Convention”.
The appointment which takes effect as from July 1, 2020 is for tenure of three years in the first instance.
Reacting, “Aremu stated, First, I thank Almighty God Whose tremendous grace I enjoy everyday and even when I least expect. Two, my profound appreciation goes to my father in the Lord and President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention and Christian Association of Nigeria for the honour of the appointment. I also, thank the Vice Presidents and entire members of the Executive Committee of the Nigerian Baptist Convention for finding me worthy of the appointment”.
He said, “I am honoured to continue to serve the Educational Management Board and Baptist Mission Schools Board of the Nigerian Baptist Convention. And this time, in a higher capacity as the Chairman. The Board has an impressive records of achievements and legacies. These, by the special grace of Almighty God will be sustained and improved upon under my chairmanship”.
