Contrary to the opinion of the senior pastor of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Abuja, Paul Enenche that a police woman, Veronica Anyim misled his congregation with her testimony that she holds NOUN’s LLB, facts have emerged that Veronica Anyim, graduated from the Law Department of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
Veronica, who worshipped at Dunammis Church, Abuja, gave a testimony that she just graduated from the Law Department of NOUN.
In a trending video on social media, Enenche is seeing questioning the woman on her testimony with a mindset to prove that her testimony is fake.
The matter became worse when Enenche interjected while a pastor coordinating the testimony session was reiterating the testimony the woman gave to the church members.
Veronica is number 2262 on the above graduation lists
Enenche questioned the woman and asked her the type of degree she got, and when the woman answered, BSc in law, the infuriating cleric ordered the woman leave the altar and to go back to her seat because there is nothing like BSc law but LLB.
Enenche who was quick to hear and and answer explained that he knew the woman was giving a fake testimony because her English is poor.
After reprimanding the woman, he stressed that he would not allow any of his church member to give fake testimony in his church.
In her response to the saga, Veronica stated that she was shattered and disgraced.
Before the testimony, she had earlier posted the pictures of her convocation on the social medial, thanking God for what He has done for her.
She wrote, “And it came to pass yesterday 13th April being Saturday, 2014, at National Open University, Abuja. Father, I am saying thank you for making me graduate from my law programme.
“Congratulations to me once again. Two celebrations just for me in this month of April my birthday. Ur too faithful to fail me. Friends, join me and thank for all He has done for me.
“Thank you Jesus; hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, and hallelujah Amen.”
However, multiple checks revealed that the woman’s testimony is correct and she graduated from the Law Department of NOUN.
Punch had reported that Anyim’s matric number is NOU133971176. Her full name is Anyim Veronica Nnenna, and she paid her first e-facilitation fee, ICT fee, and Library fee at the university on March 21, 2017, at exactly 1:37 p.m.
She did her semester registration on the same date. She also made payment for her compulsory final clearance fee on April 8, 2024, at 12:52 pm.
Further checks revealed that Anyim paid course registration fees for some courses like Law of Evidence, International Law and Diplomacy, Land Law 1 & 2, and Law of Taxation, a few to mention.
Also, on the convocation list sighted by our correspondent, Anyim, whose number stood at 2262, was conferred with LLB Law; she attended classes at the Abuja Model Study Centre and graduated with a Third Class.
However, people are sharing thoughts on the issue on the social media, condemning the Pastor for accusing the woman. Many social media users asked the pastor to tender public apology to the woman.
Deborah Tolu-Kolawole said, “Apparently the lady accused of giving a fake testimony by Dunamis actually graduated from NOUN. Here is her name on the graduation list number 2262. I guess she probably had stage fright. The church should find a way to apologize to her for this embarrassment.”
Omo Kogi stated, “Pastor Paul Enenche needs to apologize to that woman because she doesn’t speak English properly and made a couple of mistakes. He invalidated over six years of her struggle to get that degree at the National Open University (NOUN).”
Office of the Nigerian Citizen pointed out, “There’s something like BSc in Law. It’s called BSL. Not offered in NOUN (they award LLB), but for a woman that worked and schooled, she most likely doesn’t know these things). Please Pastor, let’s cut people some slack. This embarrassment was unnecessary.”
Gideon Odoma said, “I get it. Dr. Paul should apologise. But, let’s not forget what has been happening in the last 2 weeks per fake miracle testimony. So, expectedly, Dr. Paul was hyper sensitive. Then, NOUN might also need to apologise to us. Is this the quality of the graduates they produce?”
