The Minister of Health in Nigeria, Dr Osagie Ehanire has revealed that the Federal Government has enlisted five states and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the World Health Organisation’s “Solidarity trials”, for the participation of the clinical trial of COVID-19 vaccine.
It has been gathered that over 100 countries have joined the Solidarity trials.
Osagie disclosed this yesterday at the briefing of the Presidential Task Force, PTF, on COVID-19, saying Lagos, Ogun, Sokoto, Kano, Kaduna States and FCT have been enrolled in the international trial being spearheaded by the World Health Organization, (WHO).
He stated, “The Federal Government is cooperating with WHO on treatment regimen solidarity trial, with the following states enrolled: Lagos, FCT, Ogun, Kaduna, Sokoto and Kano.”
