“We did the orderly room trial for the corporal and we have got the verdict of the proceedings. And it has been approved that corporal Opeyemi Kadir be dismissed from the Nigeria police force with the effect from today August 12, 2022. He has sized to be an officer of the Nigeria police force.”
Adejobi, however, urged the public not to relate with the dismissed policeman adding, “We want to assure Nigerians that we do not in any way conduct any act of indiscipline whatsoever in Nigeria police force. It is a very civil organisation, which has values, and constitutional power. We protect Nigerians and people’s fundamental human rights and provide security for all and sundry. We will not tolerate any of our members assaulting, harassing, extorting or engaging in any inappropriate activities.”
He pointed out that the IGP Alkali Baba has made his determination to sanitise Nigeria Police clear admonishing Nigerians to report any policeman found abusing his office.
