Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Lagos, today sentenced Mr Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky to six months imprisonment without any option fine for abusing the Nigeria Naira currency.
Justice Awogboro ,in her sentence, said the judgment would serve as a deterrent to others who are fond of abusing and mutilating the naira.
Bobrisky is a popular Nigerian crossdresser and transgender, whose promotion of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBTQ), is unacceptable in Nigeria, and by extension, Africa.
Before his arrest over Naira abuse, the majority of Nigerians have been calling for his arrest for negatively influencing and corrupting the youth immorally.
