Covenant University, a private university established by David Olaniyi Oyedepo, the founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, and presiding Bishop of the Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria has continued to maintain its lead over the nation’s Premier University.
In the just released 2024 THE ranking, Covenant University is ranked the best in Nigeria and University of Ibadan (UI), ranked second. The two universities are within the bracket of 801-1000 best universities in the world.
Following this universities are Federal University of Technology, Akure, University of Lagos (Unilag), Bayero University, University of Ilorin, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, University of Benin, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Lagos State University, Nnamdi Azikwe University, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), and University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT).
Another 24 universities among government and private universities are listed but they are not among the 1501 best universities in the world.
