Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State today gave an update on Coronavirus in the state, revealing that the state just lost a person to the virus.
According to him, as at the time of filing this report, the state has lost 21 persons to the deadly virus.
He added, “Sadly, we had one COVID-19 related death in the state. So, the total number of deaths in Oyo State is twenty-one”.
He also gave a breakdown of the 17 suspected cases recently confirmed positive. saying, “the cases are from Ibadan North (6), Ibadan South West (4), Lagelu (3), Oluyole (2), Akinyele (1) & Ogbomosho N (1) LGAs. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is 1706”.
