The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Administration has announced that schools in Abuja closed due to the coronavirus pandemic will resume on Monday October 12, 2020, while boarding schools will resume on Sunday, October 11, 2020.
FCT Minister, Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, made this known at a media briefing in Abuja.
He explained that the decision to reopen FCT schools was jointly arrived at by critical education stakeholders in accordance with the declaration of the minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu.
The Minister who tasked school administrators to ensure that students and pupils adhered strictly to the COVID-19 safety guidelines upon resumption, assured parents and guidance that FCT schools were safe to reopen.
He, however, warned parents not to underate COVID 19, as the pandemic is still very much around us.
The FCT Administration warned private schools against demanding for third term school fees.
