The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 103 news cases of Coronavrus in Oyo State, bringing the number of confirmed cases in the state to 764.
According to the Centre, as at Thursday June 18, 2020, 474 cases were on admission, while 281 patients have been treated and discharged.
The Centre further revealed that so far, the state has lost nine to the virus.
However, despite the fact that Oyo State comes after Lagos State with 7,896, its government has reopened worship centres with effect from Sunday June 21, 2020.
It also ordered all civil servants to report to work from Monday June 22, 2020, while schools will also be reopened with effect from Monday June 29, 2020 for Primary 6, JSS 3 and SSS 3 classes..
Ironically, states with lower cases in the region are yet to reopen schools, worship centres as well as calling their workers to resume for work.
