The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported five new deaths of Coronavirus in Oyo State, bringing the total deaths resulting from the virus to 19 in the state.
Confirming the figure, Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde said, “Sadly, the test results of five suspected cases, who passed away in the month of June, 2020, came back positive. So, the total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Oyo State is nineteen”.
The Centre revealed that no. of confirmed cases in the state as at Monday July 6, 2020 was 1,513.
While 685 patients of the virus are currently on admission, 809 patients have been treated and discharged.
