The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Saturday January 2, 2021, reported four new deaths from Coronavirus in Oyo State, bringing the total number of deaths from Covid-19 in the state to 52.
According to NCDC, Oyo State is the fourth out of the 36 states in Nigeria with the highest number of Covid-19 cases after Lagos, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Kaduna, and Plateau States.
Lagos State has 31,321, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), 12,083, Kaduna State, 5,447, Plateau States, 4,997 and Oyo State 4,035.
As at the time of filing this report, Oyo State has 581 patients on admission, while 3,402 have been treated and discharged.
