Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has stated that the diagnostic centre at the Virology Laboratory, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan (UI) is fully functional and has been approved by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to be the collection centre for Oyo, Ogun and Kwara States.
According to him, the 100-bed Infectious Disease Centre, Olodo had also been adjudged 85 per centre ready for use.
Appreciating well-meaning individuals who have donated cash and other items for the fight against coronavirus, the governor said an endowment fund account has been opened with three banks.
