In view of the prevailing situation of COVID-19, which has made the federal government to shut down schools in Nigeria until further notice, the Oyo State Government has made an alternative structure for learning at home for all students, particularly SSS3 students who are at the verge of sitting for the WAEC and NECO.
The Hon. Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Barr. Olasunkanmi Olaleye stated this in a special announcement to all SSS3 students in the state.
Olaleye stated that the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) has concluded arrangement to commence School on Air video and radio broadcast, for the secondary school students in the State.
He said, “The students will be able to take advantage of e-library via the Ministry of Education website, www.oysgedu.ng to access learning materials and videos prepared by competent and experienced teachers. All stakeholders (teachers, parents, guardians and students) are therefore called upon to assist the students at this critical time to take advantage of the Ministry of education e-library, self-assessment questions, e-school and also watch BCOS Television and Radio daily for the Educational broadcast”.
