Five prominent politicians and public office holders in Nigeria have been tested negative of coronavirus.
The five are Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed and his Health counterpart, Dr Osagie Ehanire, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr Boss Mustapha, Permanent Secretary in the Health Ministry, Mashi Abdulaziz Mashi and Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri.
Information gathered revealed that the results of the tests conducted on these officials tested negative, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
According to the acting Chief Press Secretary to Governor Diri, Mr Daniel Alabrah, result of the Covid-19 conducted on the governor is negative.
Also Muhammed said that he has received the result of the Covid-19 test conducted on him and it is negative.
However, apart from Governor Bala Mohammad of Bauchi, two other people have been tested positive in the state. The second case was 62 year old man.
