Oyo State Governor and the Head of the State’s Covid-19 Task Force, Engr Seyi Makinde has put the number of active cases of coronavirus in the state at twenty as at May 1 2020.
According to him, two pending results came back positive on Thursday night, one of which is from a UCH doctor who returned from Kano and another is from a worker with the State Security Service.
Also, another eight tests came back positive on Friday. Six are Togolese nationals and the remaining two are Oyo State residents in Ogbomoso.
The Governor added that in addition to the case recorded in Lagos, which is being managed in the state, another confirmed case recorded in Kano is also being managed in Oyo State.
