The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC), has assured its customers of obtaining prepaid metres within 48 hours after enrolling in the mobile Metre Asset Provider (MAP) programme.
Making this assurance, EEDC Chief Technical Officer, Vincent Ekwekwu, noted that metering the whole houses in the state would bring an end to estimated billing which the customers have been subjected to.
He said the essence of the MAP Programme is to resolve the problem of estimated billing adding, “With this arrangement, the era of estimated and post-paid is gone, apart from the smart prepaid meters being recharged online, you can now regulate your supply and manage your energy,” he said.
