Ekiti State Police Command on Wednesday August 19, 2020 paraded 18 suspected criminals arrested for various offences ranging from self kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism, stealing and burglary.
Parading the suspects at the police headquarters in Ado Ekiti, the command’s spokesperson, Sunday Abutu, stated that the suspects were arrested at different locations in the state through information gathering.
Abutu said that some of the suspected armed robbers blocked Aisegba/ Iluomoba road and robbed people of their belongings adding that one of them, who is a 16 year old, drugged a lady with soft drink and had carnal knowledge of her for three days in his room.
He also pointed out that one of them fake her abduction and demanded ransom from her family members.
The Police Public Relations Officer appealed to the residents not to relent in given useful information to security agents for prompt action and promised that the command would not relent in its efforts to get the state rid of criminal.
