Lagos State Government has revealed that 229 suspects who were allegedly involved in destroy and destroying private and public properties in the state would be charged to court on Monday October 26, 2020.
According to a statement by Director, Public Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Kayode Oyekanmi, the suspects too the advantage of #EndSARS protest to loot, the offence that is contrary to the law of the land.
The state Government added that 229 suspects have so far been arrested by the Police for various criminal offences ranging from arson, murder, stealing, malicious damage of properties and assault before and after the state-wide curfew imposed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to restore law and order.
“After the evaluation exercise, those that have cases to answer will be arraigned before the Courts on Monday”, the statement added.
