A tragic incident occurred earlier yesterday mourning at Utako Market, Abuja, where an Igbo trader, identified as Ifeanyi, lost his life following a heated altercation with a fellow businessman, Eze.
Eyewitnesses report that the two traders, who both deal in underwear sales, got into a physical fight for reasons yet to be ascertained.
As the confrontation escalated, blows were exchanged, and in the midst of the scuffle, Ifeanyi suddenly collapsed and died on the spot.
Market authorities and traders rushed to the scene, but efforts to revive him proved futile. Meanwhile, Eze was immediately arrested and taken to the market’s police station for further investigation.
The tragic incident has thrown the market community into shock, with many traders expressing concerns over the frequent clashes among business owners.
