Erelu Bisi Fayemi, the wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has inaugurated 80 Gender Desk Officers across MDAs and the 16 local government areas in the state civil service.
During the inauguration today, Erelu Fayemi stated that the project was aimed at promoting gender equality and women empowerment as well as preventing sexual violence in the workplace.
She urged the newly inaugurated officers to be at the forefront of the fight against gender-based violence in their respective institutions, pointing out that the project would institutionalize sustainability in government and address the aspiration of every individual.
