President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the establishment of six new Federal Colleges of Education in Bauchi, Benue, Ebonyi, Edo, Osun and Sokoto States.
According to a press release signed by the Director, Press and PR, Federal Ministry of Education, Ben Bem Goong, the Governors of the affected states have been notified in writing.
Also, a Technical Team from the Federal Ministry of Education and the National Commission for Colleges of Education will be visiting the States in the coming weeks to inspect the sites, in preparation for take-off in October 2020.
The locations of the new Federal Colleges of Education are:
*Bauchi – Jama’are in Jama’are Local Government
*Benue – Odugbo in Apa Local Government
*Ebonyi – Isu in Onicha Local Government
*Edo – Ekiadolor in Ovia North East Local Government
*Osun – Iwo in Iwo Local Government
*Sokoto – Gidan Madi in Tangaza Local Government
