The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, on Monday July 27, 2020, announced an increase in ticket prices and the resumption of Kaduna to Abuja train services from Wednesday July 29, 2020, after inspection of newly acquired coaches.
According to information gathered, Kaduna, which will take off from Rigasa Station to Abuja, First Class Normal is increased from N2,500 to N5,000, First Class Express now N6,000 from N3,000, Economy Normal N3,000 from N1,300 and Economy Express now cost N3,000 from N1,500.
The train schedule reads Thursdays to Tuesdays, 1st trip, 6:40am, 2nd trip, 10:35am, 3rd trip, 2pm and 4th trip, 6pm. On Wednesdays, 1st trip, 6:40am and 2nd trip, 6pm.
Abuja Kubwa Station to Kaduna, Thursdays to Tuesdays, 1st trip, 7:17am, 2nd trip, 10:07am and 3rd trip, 2:41pm.
Also, from Idu Station in Abuja, Thursdays to Tuesdays, 1st trip, 7:00am, 2nd trip, 9:50am and 3rd trip, 2:20pm.
