A student of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Ondo State, Temitayo Ayodeji, was allegedly stabbed to death on Thursday, April 6, 2023, by some people suspected to be cultists who are indigenous members of the community.
It was gathered that Ayodeji, a final year student of the Physics Electronics Department of the University, was only waiting to defend his project before he was stabbed to death following a dispute over N1,000 between him and the suspects,
Students of the AAUA went on rampage on receiving the news of the killing.
A mob of the protesters reportedly set the family house of one of the suspected killers on fire.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mrs Fumilayo Odunlami disclosed that no arrest has so far been made in connection with the incident.
“Efforts were ongoing to arrest the suspects,” the PPRO stated.
