Five persons have been arrested in Bauchi state for selling and buying COVID-19 green cards.
The cards are given to persons after receiving the COVID-19 jabs.
Disclosing this to newsmen, the Executive Chairman of Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency, BASPHCDA, Dr. Rilwanu Mohammed, decried the fraudulent activities of medical personnel in the state who are hampering the government’s efforts to ensure vaccination of residents of the state against COVID-19 .
“It is setting back the success of the exercise. In collaboration with the Police, Army and Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC, we have been able to arrest some people, who were buying the vaccine cards without taking the injection. They are now with the security agencies undergoing investigations”.
